The most beautiful terrace by the sea with a view of the Grafliness dunes, the Razende Bol and Texel can be found at Fort Kijkduin!

With a 270 degree view you have a good view of the surroundings. What we now call a beautiful view was formerly called “strategic overview”. Fort Kijkduin is buried in the highest dune in the area, which gives the fort its name. From this spot the soldiers had an overview of the approaching enemy and the fort was able to protect the hinterland and the village of Huisduinen against attacks from the sea.

With nice weather you can sit outside. With less weather, the view from the inside is just as phenomenal!
