In addition to the historical heritage, there is also a North Sea aquarium where you can admire the underwater world up close.

Fort Kijkduin is part of Stichting Erfgoed Den Helder, a cultural ANBI (Public Benefit Organization). As such, the foundation is exempt from gift and inheritance taxes, meaning that every donation goes entirely towards the fort.
